Cobalt 343 - Comments/opinions

I saw a Cobalt 343 with 525's up at Lake Geneva this weekend. I had never seen one of these before, the boat looks and sounds killer.

Looked up one thread on here from 07 and had some interesting comments. Wondering if anyone here still has one, and if so, some of there opinions on the boat.

Gordy's has one for sale with 300 hours listed for $197,000 or so, the boat is decked out. They said the owner would take alot less around $150,000 to $160,000.00.

I'd say it's worth more like 95-100k in this market

I have seen a few go on eBay for >100K... I saw one at a boat show and it was pretty cool. The dash looks like an airplane but I'm not a huge fan of the seating layout in the cockpit. Cobalt builds a nice boat but I'm biased...

I had a 343 with 525's for about 1 1/2 yrs . Very nice boat.

I can tell you from a quality standpoint that Cobalt makes a NICE boat.

I've known the owner of Cobalt & his son for YEARS, and they don't cut corners on anything in life, including their company.

I have seen these listed from $119,000 - $195,000.

I am wondering how this boat would handle the big water, say Lake Michagan.

Anything above four feet would probably be too much for a 33' V bottom.

I've run mine in solid 3-5's in the long island sound and it ran better than my buddies 35 Donzi with the same power and drives. Heavy solid boat with a 24 degree deadrise.
