Default New to OSO & Larger boats

Hello All,

Well, I came across this site when looking for general discussion and info for my new boat. while interested in many different offshore boats

I jumped into a 77 wellcraft nova 250 classic. It's got twin 351's with MR drives. looking for more info, and looking at restoring it this winter. I'm located in Georgian Bay, On, CA. I have plenty of boating experience and own a small marine service.

Does anyone know where I can find more info on these boats? I know its not the best of choices, as i've heard lots of stories already, but it does the trick for now! Here some photo's. what do you guys think?

Thats one of my favorite parts. Im concerned about the drives on it. Both top ends have been rebuilt. I am concerned that the motors are to strong for the drives now...

They both have edelbrock aluminum intakes with 4 barrels, instead of the stock 2 barrels. They both have mild crower cams. With the set up the way it is top end is roughly 63 with 28 pitch cleavers.

Would Alpha 1s be acceptible? Trying to think of reliable options without breaking the bank...

The Alpha is really only good to about 300hp. Bravo1 would be my choice. 470hp drive.

Welcome to OSO Drive Eater!

Nice looking "Old School Boat" I also like the original interior colors of your boat.
