Phenomenon or Phenome-not—All Good
After following this story since November 2009, here's my take http://www.boats.com/boat-content/20...%99s-all-good/.
Happy and safe July 4 weekend, all.

Nice article! Hopefully, some time in the future they will be able to make Al, Sr. and the state of Louisiana proud. We sure need something positive to happen. Everyone have a very nice and SAFE 4th of July.

Jeez Matt you make it sound like they're giving up. I don't think they'll do that. What I think they should do now is talk to the top turbine people, hull builders and also Rik Wimp at Arneson to try to solve those issues.

When I spoke to Scott Barnhart yesterday and he told me they were out for today, I made a (very) conscious choice not to ask him what the Phenomenon team's future plans are. My reasoning? No need to create pressure. Better to ask that question in a couple of weeks when they've had a chance to assess what they did right, what they did wrong and where they want to go in future.
Have a great weekend.

A phenomenal story on a Phenomenal piece!
I am glad to see they now have taken the away their own deadline and took the pressure off..
As I discussed with Al in Miami, I never favored the location for this type of Kilo and the short time they would have to make the boat 100% ready.
When asked where I would suggest it be done I offered my opinion of LOTO, Desert Storm or behind the Fountain plant.
All areas that have seen high speeds with good success.
LOTO has had the cats running over 200mph so that was on the top of my list !
