Outerlimits in Manhasset Bay NY
Anyone know of/own/seen the all white outerlimits sit down boat in the 40ft range in Manhasset Bay on fathers day? The guy ignored the no wake sign and sped into the bay at high speed (i was working on a dock and could see the rooster tail all the way down the bay) and the harbor patrol caught him in a yacht clubs mooring field and escorted him to the town dock.
Anyone know who did this? It was very dangerous and the pilot surely wasnt using his brains. Nice boat, bad decision...

Funny, thought i saw that out in the bay too. I just saw a boat moving at speed in the distance.
Later i saw it tied up at Louies.
All white is sweet. Doesn't say much for the capt. though.

Yes, and my bad... i saw it at Louie's saturday before fathers day.
The bay is well marked... and is obvious that its not a safe place to speed. Many moored boats, and poor visibility.
But it takes time to get from the 5mph marker to the east end of the harbour, and many can't take it... unfortunately.
I saw an all white boat moving at speed.
Most likely was this, if you say its what you saw.
Whatever... some(many) boaters are @sses... go fast or not.

[QUOTE=fountain40icbm;3147778]I know the owner of the boat and he likely did not see the markers.[/QUOT
Thats true. Hell, I have even missed them sometimes when I have been on the bay for years.
