checkmate pulsare 2100

i have a 21 checkmate with a single 300x, runs 92mph gps....no cabin, just a large cushion area you could lay on under the front deck. Hp to Hp most all outboards can outrun inboards because of less weight, and with a hydraulic jackplate you can run the propshaft even with the pad or higher with a sportmaster lower unit, or modded stock one. I paid around 17k for my boat last yr and it's clean. A lot of the other choices people have listed here are nice as well. Nothing sounds better than an inboard though.

Hey buddy...

I have a 232SC (Sport Cabin) Caravelle Interceptor. I LOVE IT!! 23' feet long with a nice cabin for it's size. Has 2 jump seats in it and a bed area with good storage underneath. Mine has a 454 Mercruiser w/ a Bravo I drive. Thru hull (Corsa) exhaust that sounds good and she will run 60-62 with no problem, stock powerplant. The hull design not only looks good but rides really well when trimmed out. Older like mine, in the 90's year range, you can pick up for 12-15k! Just have to look. My buddy owned it prior to me. I got it once he bought his Formula Fastech. He loved it too. Have plans this winter to make it "more mine" with some changes planned.

Just a thought.

Dude,

If you really want to go fast on your home lake. Outboards rule. However, Not great rough or offshore water over real 3+ (Unless your in 30ft + OB cats)

If you wanna break some hearts against run of the mill production performamce IO boats, the outboard boats win. Do your home work. Service availabilty is great and 5+ year engine warrantys are available

If you haven't been in a well setup outboard boat you have a pleasant surprise coming.

I have lived on the water for for over 35 years. Have owned 50+ boats. The Lakes I run are 3 miles to almost 4 miles long. (I have a old 80+ mph 30ft V bottom for the rough slop days)

In 18-21 ft Singles and 24-28 twin OB cats I have sent many IO boats Home.

For acceleration, nothing runs like a well setup single or twin OB on a small lake. if you wana go 75 To 120 MPH, your at the end of the lake before the IO gets 1/2 track unless they are real serious players.

All the IO boats mentioned so far in this post would not be in the game against a correctly setup Outboard lake boat 18-28ft with single or twins. Yes it can be done with stock power. Go over to S&f and look around. These boats are out of the mainstream but alive and well.

Most importantly for me they are FUN! and cheap. I am so done with car motors in boats if want to go fast over 75+MPH

If you wanna go 120 -200+ at Havasu or similar water the the IO Cats and V-Bottoms are the **** and so far the OB's are not in this game

Life sidetracked my plans to buy a boat last summer. I am ready to now but all the boats that were listed in here are gone. What current deals are you guys aware of?

This one!

This one is in Buffalo, NY. It looks like a heck of a boat. Seems like a nice package for that $$! ....
