Nice What Class

purrfection 07-05-2010 11:21 AM

I believe Supercat. They were/are running twin 525's. If I'm wrong, please correct me. I also believe the boat is owned & throttled by Randy Sweers and driven by a gentleman from Switzerland.

Cash Bar 07-05-2010 12:38 PM

SCL

Sweers

Italy

Catmando 07-05-2010 07:35 PM

Terrible vinyl wrap job, can't see the dog and it's too busy, too much going on.

Gladhe8er 07-05-2010 07:56 PM

Is that the owners name on the deck in 30 foot letters? Tacky...

Cash Bar 07-05-2010 08:42 PM

Italian Shoe Company name.

525s are the Supercat Lite class.

F1-00 Racing 07-05-2010 09:28 PM

Nice boat irregardless of the wrap, but I saw it on a bright yellow trailer, I assumed it was the former CRC boat(the little one), great to see thats it new

Wahoo ATV 07-06-2010 08:39 AM

What is up with the windscreen mask? It looks like an after thought. Windows even seem to be cut crooked. Is it just the angle of the picture?

apache727 07-06-2010 09:01 AM

i really like the wrap it's pretty original. Looked awesome on the water

Ryan Beckley 07-06-2010 09:08 AM

Wow!!! you guys are rough, my guess is the guy paying for the boat really enjoys the boat. We should all be applauding anyone that would put together a new race tea whether it be a new or old boat, rather than sit on the sidelines and critisize..... there is enough of that going on.....

Ryan,

How dare you use such intelligent logic and common sense:party-smiley-004::lolhit:

Wahoo ATV 07-06-2010 11:42 AM

Seriously, what is up with the mask? Most of the new boats have them flush with no external fasteners.

Rob Rich 07-06-2010 11:51 AM

Hmmm:evilb:

How dare you criticize your offshore racing fans like that! :coolcowboy:

AppSysCons 07-06-2010 12:35 PM

I agree with Ryan and Bill.

If the sponsor likes, then I love it! We all should!

We need more teams, and more sponsors. Everyone of us, should contact the sponsor, tell them we heard about them from this race.

IMO: Enough of the whining, and agenda driven, self inflicted drama. I spent years doing the offshore racing thing. It is expense and difficult (at best) to get sponsor ship. We are a large group of people with common interests. Lets start helping our cause.

Also in SBI, the trademarked name for the class is "Super Cat", according to the "2010 SUPER BOAT INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTIONS TECHNICAL RULES". SCL is one of the other race groups.

You are correct, if the boat was running an OSS race. It was running a SBI race and there they call it Supercat. Have a nice day!

Ptufaro 07-06-2010 06:39 PM

Looks like a 40', it would be nice to see how a 36' raceboat would do with 525's.

I like the black bottom and tunnel.

Best of luck.:drink:

Thanks. I was asking more about the black surround. The glass looks like it is recessed instead of flush with the canopy. It is also using external fasteners when most seem to be moving away from that. For example Mystic, Geico and Talking Trash are more closely following the recommendations recently written.
