Freind of mine is converting them to more web friendly versions,
lots of good stuff on there, not only Carrera's but Coyote's, Scorpions,Cigs, Scarabs, lots of old school raceboats, interviews with owner of Carrera "Humberto Picon" interview with owner of Scorpion "Julio DeVarona" , editor of Power boat magazine, etc..
Only bad thing is its all in spanish since it was all filmed in Puerto Rico.
If I remember right one is the Michelob Offshore Grand Prix, one is a PROA race and cant remember the other one.
The "El Nuevo Dia" Carrera raceboat (36ft) was sponsored by the newspaper El Nuevo Dia (New Day) throttled and driven by Alex and Sal Picon and owned by Manny Garcia , in one race they led until they had a breakdown, in the other they led until hatches came loose and had to slow down and take a second place in D class and in the third race they won their class and won the overall race as well.
Also running Carrera's was the Coca-Cola (36ft) boat in 2 of the races, and the other newspaper sponsered Carrera (30ft) "El Mundo" (The World) and the Giorgio (30ft )
there are also a few Carreras in the safety fleet.
The racecourses are half in the calmer inside water and half in the big water, by big water I mean usually 4-8ft and a quartering sea, much bigger than what they run in usually these days. The cats would fly on the inside part and then get blown away on the big water.
