No, the radio system will control PLC's and Robotics. Do you know someone we should talk with ? |
Can you tell me more? I'm an MIT EE grad student. If it's a simple embedded system, I can handle it. If you're actually building transmitters from the ground up, I probably know a few people who can do it.

Analog is preferred...Transmitter will be up to 8 channels on one end and receiver up to 8 channels on the other end....The transmitter will be powered by a 9 volt battery....Packaging, the board, antenna and battery will be housed in a 2.5" x 4" +/- case....A key pad up to 6 channels will be located on top of the case... Clock time will be 250 ms. or less....Range will be 300 ft. uninterrupted, w/the users body between the transmitter and receiver (The body is a bag of salt water, which can be hard to drive the signal through. ) Receiver will be open chassis with a foot print as required....Output will be dry contact relay or transistor....Power will be 18 volt DC, 120 AC or 240 AC in., 12 and/or 24 out. Transmitter and receiver will be licensed, part 15. Spread spectrum or similar is acceptable. Zigbee, TI and other digital chips may not work, primarily because of range. |
Is that boat too fast to ride in? Radio Control is a little much don't you think?

Well you see, as slow as it is, one can sit on the beach and have plenty of time to run three or four, simultaneously. |

Well the two guys i still keep in contact with have gone a completely different direction since our Motorola days. One does telephony systems and the other has officially retired at 50 and is helping his wife run their hair salon! must be nice! :D
About the only ides i was given by the two was either look up a local college that has an electronics progam or search out a Devry or ITT Technical schools. They both have the electronics programs and the teachers that run them are people who were/are in their field of study....could even be a class project etc for them... |
Sorry, out of the loop for a few days. PM incoming.
