8.1L's with Loose Intake Manifold Bolts??

GM is having trouble with the intake manifold bolts on the 8.1L's loosening up. Apparently a new service bulliten calls for the bolts to be retorqued with the use of thread locker. Here's some more info.

Has anyone had this problem on a marine 8.1L?

Never heard of such a problem with the marine versions.

I'm happy to report that I have no appreciable oil consumption.

My 2001 Suburban would go through a quart of oil every 1,500 miles. My new 2002 Avalanche has 2,500 miles on it so far and no oil loss yet. Got my fingers crossed. Thanks for the info I will keep an eye on the situation.
