Spectre Adding 30-foot V-bottom

Interesting move, http://www.boats.com/boat-content/20...foot-v-bottom/.

Seems that the Frisini Motorsports acquisition of Spectre has been a very good thing.

DollaBill 07-13-2010 11:24 AM

seems to make much more sense than some of the other smaller V's being introduced

The line drawings of the new 30 look very simliar to the 30 Adreniline........ Did spectre purchase the molds? I always like that boat.

That is totally the Adrenaline V30. This is awesome news. One of the most beautiful boats around now available at a much more affordable price.

I think it's a great business move.

Can't wait to see the first one.

I hope Spectre can do them as nice as Adrenaline did...

I have yet to see a Spectre done as nice as the 2 V-30's I've seen...

Magnum has a very nice 27 also.

You and freshwaterfiend are correct. John Cunningham of Spectre confirmed this with me via email this morning. Good eyes.

I do not doubt for a second that Spectre can do an excellent job building this boat. I just helped test a Specte 32' cat in April, and from tooling to rigging it was immaculate.

Spectre should make a closed deck version of the 24/260 with a single engine. Make the 30 twins only...that way different segments of the market are covered.

freshwaterfiend 07-14-2010 10:11 PM

Matt,

When are they going to build the first one?

Rob

Rob,

According to John Cunningham, they're laying up the first one now and it should be complete by October.

Stormrider 07-15-2010 08:13 AM

Cool, but they are going to have tough competition from the 28 Outerlimits being built now. Their "price target" is $150K.

Maybe Sooner

Possibly even sooner.

zimm1978 03-10-2011 04:11 PM

ahhh ha, found the website

Pretty cool.

SO is it a 28.7 foot boat with a 2 foot step,
OR is it a 32.7 foot boat with a 2 foot step- how are they measuring 30 feet?

Hand layup? Vac Bag? Hows it made?

any cockpit pictures? The flip up cabin door seems funky to me.

Have they actually build one with a single NXT/Indy or any other surface piercing drive?

Thanks!

Uncle Dave
