:party-smiley-004:gotta love them jetski,s and the morons who drive them like idiots.it looks like 4 out of 5 boating accidents involve a jetski.usualy young kids driving them and they dont look where they are going,a friend of mine got hit by one last week, the driver was 13 years old,he let of the throttle, and ran straight into the side of his boat.

If you wrap the leading edge of the bow with stainless, like the anchor gaurds on big cruisers... you dont have to turn when they get in the way.....

If he had been driving a big cat he could have sucked him right up the center.

Does anybody even make boats without kill switches?

Sounds like an excited friend that wants to add some color to the story by guessing. trying to cover for his friend that wasnt wearing the lanyard.

My wife still gives me a dirty look when I put it on, as if I am planning some Colt Seavers-type stunt actions with the kids on board. Someday she will understand, but hopefully not through a personal experience.

I have to admit... unless the water was really rough I would leave it off. But after reading stories and seeing pictures even on the calmest of waters I put it on now. It is like a seat belt, just don't feel right about not having it on now.

Glad to know it is not just me. :drink:
