Non slip material to put on swim platform?
I know there was some threads on this but I can't find them. Some people posted links to some non slip for jet ski's I think it was that looked pretty good.
My platform is solid that is molded part of the top deck. My swim platform is slippery as he-- since painted. Anybody that steps on it when wet just about goes in the drink. Thanks |
Hydroturf maybe?

i used hydro turf on mine. i used to race jetskis and knew the product would work well. everyone who see's it really likes it. you can buy it from them in a sheet. easy to install with a good contact cement... mark

Hydroturf was the stuff I saw
What did you use to attach it/contact cement? How are the edges once cut, Will it come apart there? Thanks |
Put a good design together and take it to the water jet guy. Bet that would look really nice.

3M makes a peel and stick clear grip tape too.

You can also find non-slip wax at W Marine specifically designed for places you walk around. Used on sail boats a lot and it works pretty good without having to add, stick, or paint anything on.

That's what I meant.

I also recently stumbled across this stuff called DECKadence. I'm thinking about trying it in the cockpit.

You can buy a Yoga mat for about $25 & only put it on while at rest when you need it.... roll it up & put it away when not in use....

I saw the seadeck stuff a few years back and got samples too...neat stuff but they dont make it in a sheet big enough for what i wanted to do...so i went with the hydroturf for my project. I got it in sheets that are 47"x86" so they cover a nice area without seams...
