Default Formula 242 ls Wanted

I am trying to get ahold of a 242 LS. I want to find the older ones, 1985-1989 that is fairly cheap. Something that either runs but needs interior or vise versa. I found some and one i was looking at was 1985 freshwater 242ls with a 350 and alpha. It is great shape interior exterior and the motor (i guess havent actually ran it yet). They want $8000. Any suggestions? Too much? just right? What is the price for those years and that size boat? Also what would be the speed for that boat?

This one has been for sale for a while. Looks like a nice clean boat. I can't tell you much more then that.

Single 350/alfa is not going to be a performer, I used to run around with a buddie that had a 90 242 with a 502 mag/bravo that never went over 60 so I gotta think a single smblock isn't gona do it for ya. They were very heavy well built boats.

I have a 1985 272 for sale with twin 350's and alphas. Starboard motor is new with 12 mo. warranty left. Great condition, dont need to do anything to it but add gas. 10K with trailer. ohh.. The glass on the depth/fishfinder screen is broke, and needs new wiper blades.
