What would be the reason a person buy a 36or 368 over a 388?

I am assuming the 388 is faster with same power?

I'm curious too. Why would someone order a 36 when the 368 is faster? I could only see in a rare case where the 11' beam is too wide (for storage or slip), so the 10' beam would be an option.

Another thought - Does the 368 have its own mold or is a 36 cut in half and widened? I guess that widening could bring a significant upcharge in labor and make a 36 more affordable??

You would be correct. Cut and widened and therefor more $$$
