Power Sterring Question Help
 

Have a 502 Mag and in the process of shakedown for a trip this weekend noted that I didnt see any powersterring fluid in pump> Checked book remembering ( somehow) that I had read "IMPORTANT! If no fluid is visible in pump contact Mercruser dealer. "
My question is WHY do I need to contact a dealer why wouldnt I just add fluid and go with it I hve no noticible leaks. Any good feedback appreciated. I am running up from Savannah to Charleston this weekend and dont want to screw anything up.
