Default Trim Tilt motor rebuild?

Anybody ever had one of these rebuilt? I see Arco has them for $150 at Boat US and was wondering if the rebuild would be cheaper and last as long? Any ideas on price?
Thanks,
Ken

you don't list your location.

Starter & alternator exchange in Nashville, TN rebuilds all types of dc motors, including trim motors.

far cheaper than replacement

We rebuild these also. We only do it if the unit still looks pretty good. If it has seen alot of salt, oil, etc it is better just to replace it with new. We try to always keep the repair price about half of replacement cost. Use this as a price guide when having it repaired.
