ProCharger M3sc installed and Dyno Run -- Young Performance
just got my boat back from Eddie Young. Superb work done by Eddie!!! he had to change around the fuel system, oil cooler, some wiring and other misc stuff. The rigging is fantastic and some of the best mechanical work I've had done on my boat. We all know it is very hard to find someone you can actually rely on in the marine industry and Eddie is one i'd recommend any day.
here is my dyno run! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6vwwONBPEE |
Sounds great!!! Tell eddie I wanna see the video of my buddies supercharger locking up on the dyno lol. Eddie does awesome work wasn;'t any fault of his. Buddy bought a used SC and it set for 2 years before he put it on. I really would like to hear what it sounds like when one locks up. Glad yours came out well!

Thanks Mark. I'm glad you are happy with everything. Now go enjoy the boat. You deserve it.
KYboy, sorry, I didn't even have time to get the camara out. It started making noise about 30 seconds in, at idle. After idleing for not even 2 minutes, it sounded like someone was skinning a cat with a spoon. One of the worst noises I have ever heard. I should have the blower the first part of next week. Here are a few pics of the setup. We ditched the stock throttle body and installed a 2000 cfm unit. The stock throttle body is a huge restriction to making power. We are hoping to break 700 hp with it. We'll find out next week. Here are a few shots of it. Eddie |

Eddie do you ever take time to test and tune stock motors in winter or are you to busy with big motors?
|
I do them all. I'm not predujice. I don't have anything against the stockers. I do quite a few actually. If you would like to do something, do it as soon as possible because I fill up really quickly. I usually stop taking jobs in around the first of the year.

You're just saying that because I have your engine........and you didn't get the bill yet:lolhit:
Yeah you caught me on that one.. I think I read in a book somewhere that its always best to start sweet talking within 24hrs of trying to screw someone, so I thought I would give it a try.. :lolhit: I was just glad I made it home before you realized that was monopoly money !! |
So Mark when are you gonna run it, or have you ?
As for the 24 Pantera's yeah they are defiantly fun boats & I occasionally find myself thinking my running gear would make for some good fun in one.. |
He has already run it. He picked it up on last Friday evening and had it in the water the entire weekend. Said it ran great.

Cool deal !! Yeah that is a nice little upgrade.. esp at 3.5psi
I have obviously not had mine on a dyno either way but I have a good idea what it should make & if it picked up 210hp @ 3.5 psi over it N/A I will be more than a happy camper !! I'm in the midst of rigging on the engine & getting ready to drop it in for more rigging & man as with any hotrod if you want it right it takes nothing but time/talent/energy/money.. So its late nights for me... Not sure if you have another thread going ect.ect.. but keep me informed as to how it works out when its all said & done.. That being said its good to see another centrifigul out there running nice !! |

it was stock 502 making 415 hp. I was running right at 70 with a Bravo 25. I'm now making 625 and spinning a Bravo 30. I haven't pushed it yet but last year ran low 80's.

so where they left stock or basicly stock, freshened etc.?
Kevin Brady did the bottom end. |
They are more or less freshened up stockers, with a few upgrades. The bottom end has been freshened with stock parts. I added Cometic head gaskets. The cam and lifters are new, but stock. The heads are stock with the exception of conversion rocker studs and roller rockers replacing the non-adjustable stamped steel rockers. The biggest changes are in the fuel system. None of it is stock. The entire cool fuel system is gone, including the fuel filter head. It recieved a new filter head with 3/4" npt ports, #10 fuel hose and fittings, modified fuel rail, Aeromotive fuel pump, etc.

awesome, thank you very much, sounds exactly what i did to mine last winter cause i'd like to get prochargers this winter. basic good rebuild with up graded head gaskets, valve train, better springs, and end gapped the rings for blower use.
