You guys have all missed the point. Just go to the library and check out the book on how to build a 200 mph catamaran. Any of the top builders can build one that won't break. Any of the top builders can build on that will go 200 mph. Building one that goes 200 mph and doesn't break, well, that's another matter. Water pressure formula: Velocity squared X .0147 = pressure in psi. 100 mph x 100 mph x .0147 = 147 psi. 200 mph x 200 mph x .0147 = 588 psi. Get it?

I see it as... If JBS was given a race hull (free) then these problems are accepatable. But when JBS spends huge money for the best then the best should be delivered.

Not a ton of money towards someone elses R&D

Otherwise why doesn't JBS own part of the company they are financing R&D for.

I understand alot of MTI's and Skater's can push the 170-180 mark on a regular basis, but I would bet there are more Mystics breaking 200 than all other manufacturers combined.

The few Mystics that have been built, were all ordered with 200mph in mind. This could be said about every Skater & MTI built to date, if they were ALL ordered with 200 in mind.

Nobody has gone where Cosker has gone.

Peter & Randy have gone where Cosker is going many times before, in some cases with more impressive setups that bolting two jet engines to their boats.

With that area being one of the most stressed areas on the hull, how will they fix that? As I understand it, any scarfed joint will not be as strong as a single uniform sheet of fabric. Since the single sheet has failed, why would the repair be stronger?

Thanks
