Accident on Lake Simcoe
Beyond The Barrier Nor-Tech blew over while making a run down Cooks Bay on Lake Simcoe just north of Toronto about 3 hours ago. By the time I got there 2 occupants where pulled out of the wreckage by a few brave people that dove under to free them. Both occupants looked to be in serious condition as they were brought to shore where an ambulance was standing by.
Lets hope for the well being of all the occupants.

Happened Sunday evening. The two occupants are fine, thank goodness. They are neighbors to a very dear friend of mine.

Wow major kudos to the soles who got the occupants out! Glad to hear everyone survived.

amazing ending to a very bad situation.

Not a blow over according to other site. Hit a cruiser wake @119 and landed wrong.

Correct, Sea-Dated.

The other neighbor, who is a doctor, rushed over in their own boat and saved them. Luckily, it happened in plain sight of and close enough to shore that they could make it over rather quickly.

Was it a 43 or 36?

CigDaze 08-04-2010 02:56 PM

4400 Roadster.

Not enough can be said about these heros.

The Doctor/s that saved these guys were awesome, I'd love to meet any guy his age that would dive under a pile of floating wreckage, let alone succeed in pulling a man out and saving his life.

He didnt give up. 3 tries.

Whole scene stunk of fuel for hours after.

Anyone diving was in fuel contaminated water.

Kudos to all the rescuers.

The doctor that performed CPR was a lady that lives right next door.

Broken collarbone and broken leg.

It was amazing through all that activity, the structure of the windshield on that Nortech didnt budge an inch.
Super strong.

Wow that sucks, but glad everyone is still alive. That boat is nearly brand new - I think last season was its first out on the water.

Tantrum 08-05-2010 10:58 AM

Glad to hear everyone is going to be ok. Incredible job by the rescuers, without them its evident the outcome would have be much more sobering.

Catastrophe 08-08-2010 02:33 PM

Everyone home and on the mend !!!!!!

Catmando 08-08-2010 09:26 PM
