Found metal 1 of my engines. Need help with id.
My port engine made a milk shake. The exhaust pressure tested ok. Pulled the intake manifold & found this in the lifter valley in the rear corner port corner. They're metallic, the 2 cricular pieces are rigid. I can bend the other pieces with very little pressure.
I'm stumped - anyone know what they are or where they came from???
Any & all help is greatly appreciated. thx.

I'm thinking the circular pieces might be punch outs from the head gasket as they appear to 1/2" I'm just guessing though. The rest being flexible could also be a piece of head gasket

I was thinking bering material. I had similar looking material in my engine when I tore it down last weekend and it was shavings from the piston(forged)
Good luck with it.

nope those are the retro lifters when I went over to a roller cam..Shavings of 2 of my pistons when the crank broke and took out the rods, pistons and all.
