Default Dyno vid-straight down the barrel

Here's a dyno vid of a 502 Mag MPI with a 2.3 L Whipple, looking right down the throttle body. I ditched the stock Mag throttle body in favor of a 2000 cfm piece. The stocker is a major restriction for making power with these. It also got a cam change, extrude honed intake, conversion rocker studs and roller rockers, Mefi 4 ecm and harness, and a set of Cometic head gaskets. Everything else is bone stock. It was actually running out of ignition right at 5000 rpm because of the stock 10 yr old plug wires and coil I wish I would have had more time to get a set of wires and a coil on it because with the cam and the extrude honing it should have pulled to about 54-5500 rpm. I really think it would have made close to 800 hp. It made a best of 754 hp and 841 ft lbs of torque, missing it's azz off over 5K rpm. It should be a BUNCH of fun in a 25' Baja. Enjoy. Thanks for looking.

By the way.....check out the 2-80# injectors just under the throttle body. At lower rpms you can see them pulsing, but as it reaches 5000 rpm, they almost look like they are on all the time since they are pulsing so fast.

God D.mn, That sounds awesome!! Is that in a residential garage? If so, that makes it even cooler! Good luck in the shootout.

No sweat brother. I don't mind at all when we are looking at horsepower. Post away.

Yes. The stock injectors are 42 lb's. They are only good to about 650 hp, tops. The Whipple kit has a provision for the extra 2 injectors, but they are smaller than the 80#'s I put in.
