As I still will be on English time - will feel like a lunchtime start!

Some video of Going Lean III - The Brit entered Outerlimits of Dean Gibbs.

I was just watching that on Boat Mad Muster area.

With that speed, it might be faster for them to drive the boat down from Rhode Island instead of trucking it.

I live on the water right across the bay from the testing area.....if they need someone to drive the boat down, just call.

If they are looking for another rider in that monster...call too!!!

Dean does have a habit of driving his boats to races! I think he has put more miles on his Fountain getting to races and returning to Southampton - than the actual racing!

At one stage he was thinking about bringing the boat back to Southampton via the pond!

That is reallly a beautiful boat. It will make quite a sight as it rounds Montauk and squeezes by Block Island and heads for Hell's Gate and the run to the finish.

Thanks so much for helping us to keep real ocean offshore racing alive.

I'm sure Michael Aronow will enjoy remembering his time at the Cowes races so many years ago with you guys.

Charlie,
I tried reaching out to Billy and left a Voice mail. I've not heard back from him yet.

Can you give me an idea of how many boats have signed up and about what time would the 1st boat be approaching the East River ???

I know this would be crazy on my end, but I might make an attempt on Sat morning to try to get some coverage of this event and then travel back down to AC around mid afternoon.
