LOL. Yeah she is. In the 60s is where that boat is with 330s. With mags it is at 70.

according to the engine tags on both engines there 365 or 385 NOT 330hps...not that the tags couldnt have been changed

I don't think you're going to see much more speed out of the boat, even with small carbs.

The Mirage Plus props ran best on my Panther, just the same as they did for Blue Thunder even though I had TRS and he had Bravo's. :)

The Mirage "Plus" gives that boat the bow lift it needs. The regular Mirage props weren't as good. I spun the props in and out. In picked up 1-2 mph but the boat handled like chit in quartering seas.

I'd just run it the way it is.. he'll only see 1-2 mph with a carb change... Boat needs more power to run!

The carbs are too big for the engines in an ideal world but you can't just jet down to make up the difference if the carb is dwarfing the engine. In fact, sometimes you have to jet-up becaues the engine can't draw enough fuel because the venturi's are too big and there's no velocity. ;)

Here's my vote! Keep the carbs and if he's not planning on doing engine work but maybe just looking for 1-2 mph... Spend the money he would have spent on carbs for a good dual-plane high-rise intake with 2" carb spacers. It might wake that engine up just a lil bit! :)

Oh yeah, and cut a 1" section out of the plenum divider. ;)

Thanks Phil, yours is no slouch either and suprised me. We need a good rough water run with low or no passengers. That would just be titts. :nhl_fight:

Saw 97mph with it a few weeks back. The only thing that slows me down is the girlfriend.:lolhit:
