Default Depth Sounder questions...

The in dash 2+ inch depth dounder that I have now stopped working this weekend. I have troubleshot all I could. It appears as thought the guage has given out. It has a 'T' on it in a logo fashion. Does anyone know what manufacturer this is? The boat is a 1999, so this cannot be that old.

Also, does anyone have any experience with the Gaffrig unit that Eddie Marine carries?

Click on Gaffrig Specialty guages, and then on the Depth Finder in the upper right.

This looks like a nice replacement unit. I am looking at the GL-200TH THRU-HULL MT. DEPTH SOUNDER for $170.05

Default Depth Sounder

Sydway

I just bought one a few weeks ago from Doller Offshore (see my note below). I'm having it put in next week and then will know how it works. A few places I called around and asked about them said great guage.

It was $148.80 plus a few bucks shipping to CA. and they shipped it right away.

Digital Depth Sounder with Alarm THRU-HULL DEPTH SOUNDER GL-200THW WHITE

(E-mail response from Doller Offshore)
Thanks for the interest. YOur cost will be $148.80 Plus O/B Freight.
Let me know what you decide and if you need anything else.
Regards,
Mike Wood

The T logo is probably Teleflex. Gaffrigs are very good, as far as in dash depth finders go.

The T is for Teleflex but it's actually a Humminbird made in my home state of Alabama. Not as good as the Lowrance but cheaper and a decent warranty I guess . You coud get a Humminbird from a mailorder or online place for about $120 and your wiring and transducer will plug right in. The gaffig may look better but they just buy it from someone and put their logo on it.
