You know, It's funny... when I am cruising around at 85 I normally don't have to worry about boats running over me from behind. But when I go to a big poker run, and all the half million dollar boats show up, I have to concentrate on being out of their way. This sounds like a fun event!
I ain't coming or anything, but it sounds fun, LOL!

I've been looking forward to this since I thoroughly enjoyed the roar on the shore run. Unforuntaly it appear the timing of this run is going to kill it for myself and others.
Reason... I like most have work Friday. It will be nearly impossible to get down the shore in labor day traffic on time for the drivers meeting. Not only that I highly doubt the marina I launch from wants loud boats starting up at 6am. I would love to do the run but I don't want to kill myself trying. Best of luck to all that participate.

I can tell you from 10 years of first-hand experience (as recently as last week!) that the NJPPC and DaveP put on only first-rate events. Whether you have been to dozens of poker runs, or if you're considering this one as your first, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! My entry form was in within minutes of the email arriving.
Heck - Just the food alone is worth the price of the trip.
All you "little guys" that have been sitting on the sidelines: this is your chance to find out how much fun these events are. This concept has been talked about for years (NJPPC started thinking about it in 2000), and now it has come to life. It's a perfect concept; an 18' bowrider is plenty of boat for this run. Get out there and have fun!
Hats off to the New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club for leading the way again.
