Results on first use of Box Anchor...
I received it a couple weeks back, and had been eager to try it. I rafted up with OutlawMark and Skater this weekend. Skater threw out his big aluminum anchor off the bow of the 37AT. I threw out the medium size Box Anchor I bought off the sterns to keep us from swinging around in Mattawoman Creek, (prone to swinging around the anchor unexpectedly).
The Box Anchor held us like a champ, although currents were at a minumum. Next time I want to use only that anchor with a few boats off of it. My only complaint is the damn thing picks up A LOT of mud. It was a ***** to clean as I dragged it up. I did get a lot of comments this weekend like; "what the heck is that thing?!" Overall. I am pleased.
