The boat did not run in the Shootout. The owner got the boat from Skater on Tuesday before the shootout and they took it directly to LOTO. Needless to say they did not have time to dial the boat in for full speed passes. We will have to wait until next year.

Great run but what class did he run in?? He runs a 39 MTI supercharged and remove the drive guards and more like 36. The way I see it that's the same class as Romers 38. 36-42 ft CAT and supercharged im I missing something.

Good question at Loto I believe Skater Jim has been above 120 in his 28. I believe he has the record but not positive
Yes I think you are right, it is a 28 Skater that holds the record. |

Chip's out of Havasu.......he's running Carson Brummet motors with PSI superchargers. They ran past Gary Smith's new Predator at Desert Storm a few times. My buddy Joe Abelera is running with him and they've really got that boat dialed in!

I know what happened you won the Top Cat Manufacturers Class with a 165MPH run. Great job and people who have never run the Shootout do not know the amount of preparation and effort that goes into this event. It is enormous to say the least even more so coming from Tucson! We will see you next year glad you liked the course lay out this year it seems like it would be faster and safer. KAP |

I have no idea, runs 93 mph at 4000 rpms, 101 mph at 4600 rpms. Joe (Hustler Power Boats) and Eddie (Young Performance) run it 112 mph in 2005. They drive alot better than i do. The motors have almost 300 hours, Eddie builds a dependable motor. These motors would be awesome in the 39 Rocket.

If they want to make a true class separated by true boat length, dont count swim platforms and over size beaks on the v bottom. 36 skaters and 39 MTIs shouldn't be in the same class with 40Skaters and 44 MTIs. It has grown and still is a great event but only One TOP GUN and thats David @ 208. Just Saying |
