BBC 468, hp?

Hello,
just purchased a 1988 Chris Craft Stinger 312 with twin 468's. Problem is that i have no clue what power they deliver. What i know is: 4-bolt crusader, stroked to 468, holley intakes, qft carbs, forged crankshaft, speed-PRO pistons. Anyone have a clue? Engines built 2007. Current props are just 23p, and they are way to small. Bravo 1 drives.

WOW, I actaullt have to agree with steve. Thats gotta be a first :)

As for power, too many depends to answer your question.

Depends on what compression ratio, what heads, what valves, what cam, what intake, what cfm carb, what exhaust, what rpm. etc.

Ok, hp actually is less important. What i want is to find the right props! Perhaps 25p to start with. But there is a risk that i have to switch to 27's..... Therefore it would have been nice to know roughly the hp. It might be 400? 600? But as you say, it depends on many things, so trying different props is what i'll do. Thanks.

When you say way too small right now, we need to know what RPm you are capable of turning with the small prop, in order to suggest a replacement. Have you run the boat, where in the throttle range do you reach max RPm for that motor? 1/2, 3/4 throttle?? I would find a prop shop with a trial program such as BBlades, and start with the 27, then back down from there if needed, or go with a 26 four blade??
