Wonder if we'll ever get a sponsor and see one on Lake Winnipesaukee again?
|
Ted - are you familiar with this area? If so, what type of water conditions are typical in early June?
|
This should be one rockin event. Spoke to some people in the area and they said there is already excitment stirring up about it and that the location is great. Hope to see you all there.
Kilokat, If you are free sometime give me a call at the office. I heard the water can get rough fast up there! Chris Reindl (513) 794-1999 |
Water here wind dependent as in most places on the big pond. Assuming race is on the south shore, i would expect 2 to 3's at a minimum on a nice day.

any info on hotels yet

Hotel Info:
Check the APBA website, click on Cape Cod (left menu). . . it doesn't flash with "Information Now Available", but you can find the schedule of events, and in a box on the upper right hand side, after selecting the "Cape Cod" hypertext, you can see a list of host hotels.

Got it.........thanks JB;) ;)

The water there is shallow so it can get nasty real quick. If the wind picks up from the south West to about 15mph look out it will be a rough race. It is a short wave cycle like you may see in lakes. I have been out there and it has been calm and in a hour or two it is a totally different animal. The wind ussually picks up like clock work in the afternoon, so do not assume the wave report at the drivers meeting or your am tests are what it will be like when the gun goes off in the late AM.

I loved racing in Plymouth! It was great there too....
|
I met with Carrie and Jim today, the race is going to take place out of the Bass River in Yarmouth. The water will be fun, as Jon said it shoals up in there real easy in the S.W. even at 10-15,thats just is a normal day there.I doubt it will be worse than Daytona, at least here the waves will be short and steep.Should make for a great race though.
