Kaama (Betty Cook's old company) has been gone for upwards of twenty years.

Weismann, this is who Mercury Racing contracted to design the dry sump system for the SSM#6.

In 1995 I had Kaama drives on my Active cat and I worried about getting parts then. This is a pic of my brothers 45' 1984 Cary with Arneson drives. Twenty five + years later Rik had all the parts needed to rebuild them still.. :drink::drink:

Can u steer a boat left/right and get around docks with surface drives?..... or does the rudder only work at higher speeds?......

You work around the dock's with the shifter's and never touch the steering wheel...mine is actually easier to maneuver around a slip to park than when I had XR's...

This is so true, I found that out when I drove 2 Hustlers back to back..The ASD's performed better in every catagory except getting on plane..it took about 1-2 seconds more with a lil more prop slip vs the bravo's..I really like these drives and wish more manufacture's would give you the option..

I think that a 30-32 ft cat (Skater, Spectre etc)..with a couple of naturally aspirated 598's and Arneson drives would be a nearly bulletproof and versatile package...and probably very fast (over 150 mph).

The speed per dollar spent would be awsome!
