Best Boat Cig, bigger is always better 35 or the 38 but since you would like a 32 range the bullet is the one. Ask KReed from CT. about his and he will give you the low down. He runs the L.I Sounds and B.I Sound

Ah, good ole Lake Erie. It pushes my Donzi 22 to the limits sometimes. I love my 85 mph hot rod and am married to it for a few years but when I do upsize I will be taking a strong look at Formulas.

Glass dave had it right on the money, A 38 Scarab is the the only way to go for Lake Erie !!! if you cant swing that --next best is a 34 Scarab III..... Stay away from anything with radical engines too. Down the road you will have one hell of a big rebuild job $$$$$$$$ and last but not least dont buy a salt water boat !!!! Have the boat surveyed before you lay the cash on the line.........

Jim

Last bit of info --- before you listen to a lot of these guys on Offshore only check to see if you can get insurance at a decent price !!! some of these boats come with a steep price for peace of mind !

2-3' is a calm day on the great lakes. If you can't run in 5'-6' reasonably comfortably, you're done. I've been out in 10's more than once on Ontario. The waves are very steep, like hittin a wall. I would recommend a 38 cig or 31 or larger Sonic.
Enjoy yourself, boat shopping is fun.

Ex nay the baja id say. There was a Trip 42 down this way could not stay with the 30-33 suts in the Block sound. Scarabs arnt bad just not my tatse they are a bit lighter then the Cigs but never rode one so cant say either way. Although there is a 38 old school scarab that runs hard core down here with a set of blower motors.
Cig has a 1 on the side for a reason but make sure to get what you want.
