Those guys were a kick to watch. You are just not used to seeing a pontoon carrying the nose 5 ft off the water. I would be pissed if I was in a go fast and one of those guys passed me while flipping burgers or cooking some shrimp on the barbee.

Happened to me. I was cruising along with the dogs onboard at 45mph or so on Smith Mountain Lake in VA. A buddy blew by me at 70+ in his tri-toon with twin 2.5L Race Offshores.

Insult to injury, he roostered me too.

After two 99 mile an hour passes on Sunday, this pontoon also ran 100mph late Sunday afternoon. 2 pontoons at 100mph. That is some crazy chit!

My little bro does it all the time to guys around here. Except he has 50,000 watts+- ( not really sure how many watts, but it is the loudest one around right now) of stereo, and a giant train horn and stripper pole that he blows at you while he is going by at 70+.

30' tritoon made by the guy that just broke 100, Playcraft, with twin 300HP Verado's.

It is a good time. :coolcowboy:

I'm pretty sure the class rules require the BBQ pit to be mounted and ready for burgers. The pit was there for trhe last record I believe

Ain't that the truth...OMG that just isn't right! Congrats to those guys; that is purely insane! When they ran the last few times they were flat HOOKED up!

That may be the only pontoon that has my interest. :drink:

Reminds me of an old car tale! Guy who ran the HP shop I bought my stuff from had a respectible 340 baraccuda. Got his doors blown of by a VW Bus! Turns out the Bus had a 440Magnum sitting in the middle!
