What's the deal, can someone salvage and take ownership as abandoned. Or does sitting at a dock mean it is in someone's custody?

From my understanding... The guy who owns that boat and the guy who owns the property it was attached to are two different people therefore salvagers should be able to stake claim on the vessel for rights.

They started "something" today. Not sure what they are doing with the inflatables. I was thinking they may be getting ready to tow it out and the inflatables are to make sure it doesn't roll over or sink.

Lauderdale has many canals between Port Everglades and Hillsboro Inlets that don't "flush" real good at tide changes. Add summer rains that essentially "gutter" into the canals and they can be nasty at times.
