Ken Gouty keeps his I/O pontoon up here on the Chain-O-Lakes in Illinois. He spanks many performance boats. Funny to watch. My wife and I were cruising in the 32 Skater about 50 mph when my she tells me there is a pontoon next to us. I look over and Ken is grinning from ear to ear. I push the go sticks to 70 mph and my wife laughs on the intercom and says he is still there. 80 mph, 90 mph and we finally lost him. That was three years ago. Now he has even more power and it will take over 100 to lose him. :eek:
He also owns a 80 mph twin outboard toon. Both boats required extensive modifications to the aluminum pontoons to handle the power and speed. Ken is a great guy who loves to make possible the impossible. |
