Boat Insurance?
1 Attachment(s)
I'm looking for recommendations on Boat Insurance. Since I am now stepping up from my 13 footer to a 28. I feel now that with a larger boat I can cause alot more damage.   Any suggestions??? The boat is a showroom condition 1989 Checkmate 281 Maxxum w/Twin leftover 1997 2.5 EFI Offshores with less than 20 hours on them. I spoke with Total Dollar already but the boat doesn't meet their specifications for writing policies. Sy did help me a great deal though. Just looking for more input. Thanks in advance......;)

Try Markel
1-800-236-2637 I have had them for about 4 years. They paid out on a $2500 lower unit claim for me once. On my Hydrostream Valero I didn't have to lie about the speed, I told them it did 95 MPH and the premium was only about $500 for full coverage. Paid $195 for liability on my Superboat this year but I need to get the boat surveyed since it is more than 10 years old in order to get full coverage. Mike |
Only recomendation I have is don't show them the pictures of how you drove the little boat, it might make it a little harder to get insurance.:D :D :D :D :D

Sharkey, Nice choice! Being a fan of Outboard power I think this will be a great boat power vs. size. Good luck. Are you bringing it to Skaterfest?

Philip,I'll have the 13 footer at SKATERFEST. I don't want to pick up the 28 till I have an Insurance Policy.;) Plus, unfortunately I don't have the time to pick it up right now.   I have to finish the honey do list and miscellaneous glass jobs I took on....:( :(
