Canada to US boat Title?
 

Just wondering how much time doe's it take to get a Florida title, when boat was purchased from Canada. We had the
Fish and Wildlife officer checking the vin today and paper work ,says he will send it out but could take from 4 weeks to a year to get title. That is a very wide range of time if you ask me.Has anyone been threw this that can give me some info on how to make it go smooth and fast to get title from Tallahassee Fl.

you should get a hold of the seller and get a copy of his canadian registration.then take that to your local state registration office,along with the bill of sale and you will have what you are looking for for in about 48 hours.i have done this about 50 times.just make sure the boat is free and clear.

I was told I have to get it checked out by the Fish and Wild life
office here in FL, and then they send paper work to tallahassee. And then I have to wait to they put all the paper work threw. I will try to get title in the morning see what happens.
