Its good to see that it lasted one pull on the dyno.
Now on to more important things like RELIABILITY. How long will this engine(s) last at (I'll give away 100hp) 1700hp? |
Dustin is the 5.0/8.3 the same blower? Could you explain the different volume from the same unit.
|
One is driven on the male rotor and the other is driven on the female rotor. The rotors do not spin at the same speed. So, if you spin the faster of the two, the rotors spin faster with the same pulley ratio. A faster spinning blower moves more air. For every revolution of the blower pulley, the supercharger moves either 5 or 8.3 liters of air.

What's with all of the keyboard tough guys these days, I simply made a comment about another accomplished builder that makes the same power on pump fuel, he was more concerned with the low post count on the account that I use to keep under the radar...
Shouldn't you be spending your golden years enjoying life, instead of talking smack to someone just because they weren't floored by his results... Jeez! |

I'd love to see 1800-2000 HP on pump fuel. Show me the guy that can make these live. We have had plenty come in and promise the world, and many going out with their tail between their legs because their chit didn't last the weekend.

Seriously......Freakin Amazing numbers Dustin!

I'm no engine expert but isn't there a big difference in running an engine for a 1/4 mile or driving around town versus running it a couple hours straight at 5 to 7000rpm?
