Heading down to Ft. Lauderdale this Thursday for a few days of partying and then Jet/Dolphin game Sunday PM. Any ideas where the party places are this time of year? Let me add, my wife will be with me. She's not a prude, but Pure Platinum is out. ( Is that place even still there? ) But the Pure Platinum Skater is always acceptable, ( you know what I mean, it would be rude to turn down an invitation to go on that boat )

Pure Platinum (the boat) lives in Jacksonville about 400 miles north!

Good to know / buzz kill Thanx for the info ( I was just kidding about the boat, but it would have been cool to take a nice ride on a hot boat )

Cap's Place is not actually on an island, as they have advertised since the beginning of time. But it sounds attractive to the tourists. Its on a residential peninsula. You can simply drive up to the restaurant, by taking Sample Road east till it ends & turn right on N.E. 31st Ave, until it ends, & your there. I would rate their food, on a scale of 1 to 10, as a 5. It is the oldest restaurant in Broward County.

Hard Rock Casino is fun, Charleys Crab is good, The Pelican Bar out at the Pier 66 Marina is a must Do for lunch or drinks before dark! Watch all he boats go under the 17th bridge. On Las Olas Cheesecake factory, The Jungle Queen believe it or not is alot of fun, I have a few boats and Live here, but still take a ride from time to time, its incredible going down the river in that huge beast, Beautiful scenery (go before dark) If its saturday or sunday part of the fun is watching all the boats dodge and move out of the Queens way, lol been there done that,, , For cheaper beach front fun, you can head south 15min to holly wood board walk, you walk right on the beach there are bars every 3 or 4 steps. And best is Fort Lauderdale Beach Friday Saturday evening, Between Las Olas and SunRise Casa Blanca Is really nice for a good dinner , pricey though, or You can just stop at any of the restraurant/bars right near las olas, the food sucks, so just get the wings and beer, and then head into Club 66 right inside and to the south side of Rock Bar.
