ok.. you have had both.. what do you prefer and why:grinser010:.. 38PP vs 37 OL..Thanks Jeff

Hmm, love both boats. Lets do a little comparison:

Tooling/Mold work: Powerplay

Rigging: Tie->pp is pretty damn good

Interior fit & Finish: Outerlimits (close). All of the storage compartments had lights on our outerlimits.

Performance: Outerlimits

Rough Water Ride: Powerplay

Turning: Powerplay

Cabin Room: tie

Cockpit room: Tie

Driest Ride: Outerlimits

Cooler Size: Powerplay

For the type of boating we do, these two boats have more cockpit room then their competitors. Thats a big plus for us. you cant go wrong with either in my opinion. The Powerplay has a better rough water ride than our 37' did, but is a few mph slower.

They made 1 37 epoxy boat with 525's. It's a 2005, last 37 built, runs on St. Clair. Runs high 80's, 87+

You also have to remember the 37OL is a 1993 design and its being compared to all these much newer boats. Thats something to say about the boat and design. Cowisl's Powerplay sure is a pretty boat!!
