what make is this hull?

hey new to this forum, have a few questions

my dad and i picked this 30 foot hull up for $4000, 1985 never been used, completely empty hull

the previous owner said it is a dynamic hull, but i have found nothing

we have noticed that it isnt made out of normal fiberglass, its thicker and the boat is solid one piece instead of two halves screwed together

soo. does anyone know what make this hull is

i can get more pictures if anyone wants to see more if it helps

Does it have a HIN # ?

Darrell

northernoffshore 09-24-2010 12:32 AM

spectra from calif.

Griff 09-24-2010 12:52 AM

Not sure what it is, but it has very nice lines. Not a Sonic for sure. It has to be 2 parts that are glassed together. No way to make it as a single one piece hull.

If it has an HIN then you should be able to find out what it is.

Mark Smith 09-24-2010 05:37 AM

Now, all you need is $100000 and you can finish the boat in a year or so!!! Better off buying a complete boat.

Slickcraft?

1MOSES1 09-24-2010 06:56 AM

def not a sonic...i dont have a clue.

id be a little concerned about the way its sitting on the wood. only 5 small support structures...i guess if its empty it doesnt weigh much but it looks like you would have a lot of local pressure on the hull

Could be. "Racey" on "River Daves Place" could give you some more information on it if it is.

yup ... HIN = Hull ID Number off the transom, usually top right side, when looking at transom. Or maybe I should say starboard stern :D

I've had some dealings with Wayne and Adam King at Team Hawaiian/Powerboats Inc. and would strongly caution people about using them. If anybody wants any info, email: [email protected]

These boats were built by many manufactures on the west coast. I believe I had the first one built back in 1976 buy the Cheetah boat company [AKA Lancer Marine ] sold to me by Jim Clem here in Michigan. Mine was well built but had a wet ride in moderate chop at speeds slower than 40mph.
By 1978 Can Am boats were building them, as well as Panther Marine. I had my orange one for about 4 years then traded it for a Magnum 27' sport.:drink:

I see no negative draft in that hull. Why can't you use a one piece hull mold?
