Blue cockpit carpeting

Replacing the carpet on my cruiser and the colors dictate I have stay with a blue. The one we have decided on is a dark blue plush, but unsure if it will be too hot to stand on. Right now we have a shade darker than a sky blue and it is fine, but will be going darker.
Anyone have dark blue with an opinion? Thanks:hitit:

I had navy blue cockpit carpet. It can get a little warm, but not that bad. My main problem with it is that it shows every little spec of dirt or lint. Kinda like a dark vehicle, it looks great when spotless. But, it's difficult to keep that way.

I just switched to a new kind of PVC flooring called DECKadence and absolutely love the stuff. It's much more comfortable than carpet and hides dirt. It can also get rained on without the sopping mess.

Mine is the Marine Blue color which is more of a medium blue. They do have a navy blue, though.

My last boat I had black made and it was not bad at all. Even in direct sunlight it was warm but not burning hot, now when I had the Yamaha GP waverunner that dark blue seat in the sun was crazy hot! The only down side was keeping it spotless I carried and dust buster on the boat, but I am a freak about keeping stuff clean.

Too hot to stand on or just hotter than you'd want?

I have dark blue and it gets pretty hot when tied up and sitting. Running is not to bad. But we do throw a towel down when sitting.

Any pics of it so I have an idea of what you are calling dark blue so I'm on the same page?

Thanks
