Default Boat value complete vs parted out?

It's time to sell, looking to replace. Nowadays is an older boat ('88 '27/'29 Fever) worth more in parts or complete? The way I see it I can sell trailer, hull, stock 454 330 motors, bravos, transoms, 280 k-planes or attempt to sell complete. What's do you think would net more?

You may sell the parts, and possibly the trailer, but in this market, you are liable to end up with a fibeglass lawn ornament left over.

Basically what I'm afraid of, seems that there is no good way out anymore...
