Drove one the other day, way to smooth, 454 magnum, not very fast, really stuck to the water, no sensation of speed (drag, it is one cool looking boat!)
Drove an 18 with a 300 MPI magnum 300 HP, now that boats flys! Get real high, very fun feeling boat. Just over 70 MPH, but feels real fast

But it sure would be hard to beat the Sutphen if you want a new boat.
I have ridden in BLee's Cig 20. It is a super-nice boat. I think it runs low to mid 80s. It sure sounds good!!!

If you really know your boats and want something that gives you the “nerve endings in the hull” feeling, it’s hard to beat the 22’ Progression. I always say it’s like “driving a Formula 1 car on the street.” Mine runs just a tick under 78 MPH with a 240 HP Mercury outboard. Want proof it gets up on the pad and flies?

And on a semi-related topic, since you mentioned the V-King, I have always liked the Hydrostreams and Allisons with the loaded for bear outboard on the transom. Now that is cool, and I like the picture of the blue 22' Progression above. Looks sharp.

If you are looking for a unique Donzi 22C with a little more excitement, check out the Donzi 22 Classic Black Hawk edition. They redesigned the hull, put a 502 in it, and a Merc Black Hawk surface drive. I hear those are exciting boats!!!!

I've talked to a guy with the Donzi Black hawk, and he LOVES it!
I asked about issues with the black hawk, and he had the drive fully rebuit, with better components and had external steering.
