From APBA's Website:
"One of the notable changes to the rules is the reduction in the entry fees for the Outlaw Performance Classes, down to $200 per race. Additionally, APBA will offer $100 single event memberships for all P-Class entries at any Pro Series event for the remainder of the 2002-racing season. This reduction, in addition to the release of the 2002 Contingency Program Guidelines specifying available contingency prizes available to all APBA Classes, is expected to provide a significant boost to the budgets of Outlaw Performance Class racers."
