I.T.S. Pros and cons
I searched for info on ITS (Integrated Transom System) and there hasn't been much talk about it recently. Are a lot of people choosing ITS on new boats?
Anybody have any first hand info or comments. I like the clean look and realize the setback will have different effect on different hulls.
How about reliability? turning radius? as compared to a standard hydraulic system?

Thanks for the info.
Just to clarify what I read, the drive that bolts up to the ITS has a longer shaft and different top cap? So, if you had drive issues you could not just bolt another bravo on and roll?

That is correct. XR's and XR ITS's are totally different drives.ITS has it's own hydraulic steering, regular XR's usually have an aftermarket steering such as Latham Marine.

Not without changing the shaft & swaping over some minor hardware. Other than that they are the same Bravo drive inside & out.
