Anyone know this DCB F-29

Hey guys. Looking for some help here.

Does anyone know this DCB F-29? It is a 2005. Condition report says Teague 800's. Imco drives. Only has 130hrs on each motor.

Just seeing if anyone knows the old owner or anything about the boat. What should this thing run (mph)?

I've been trying to gauge the market on this thing to see what it would be worth to somebody. Anyone wanna take a shot at what I could sell this for? There are some in the classifieds in the $12X range. Figured I might be able to sell this thing in the $11x range. Maybe a little less.

Thanks and Cheers!!!

Brandon

I would def. buy that boat for $12,000. Send me the papers!

sparkyhopper 10-21-2010 04:48 PM

Lol.. smartass

$11X,000

chad1 10-21-2010 06:01 PM

around 140 mph

sparkyhopper 10-21-2010 09:47 PM

Wow! 140? That's moving.

At what hours should a motor like this have the top end rebuilt? What about the whole motor torn apart?

Thanks!

I would call Bob Teague about the engines, he'll give you the correct answer. With that said the engines could be in great shape or garbage no matter what the freshen interval is. Bob makes engines that last if serviced. Look at the photo of the starboard header. Lots of brown stuff on there. Make sure has not been cleaned up after being under water. DCB's are all built well and this one should be good for a long time. The color will definitely hurt resale...... Post on performanceboats.com and more likely someone there will know the history. Also, call Dave, there's not to many of his boats that he doesn't know the history and location of. Good luck.

Are you looking to buy it and resell it???

KY...thanks for the info. I'll see if I can get in touch with them.

Sam...yeah, that was the idea. Of course play with it just a bit while it's trying to be sold. I do this as a hobby and am looking for the next boat. My 25 outlaw should be sold in a week or so and need something else to peddle. Last 100K+ boat was a 35 outlaw with 525's. man, do I wish I had 4 more of those to sell.

Wish the motors weren't so hot. Would rather it have come with the blue motors.

Cheers!

Sounds good. Good luck. I agree with the "blue motors" quote. Teague motors are GREAT, but the "blue" motors do help resale.

maybe it will go for so cheap that I can afford to just swapin em out :)

SkiDoc 10-22-2010 06:05 PM

The teagues are better than blue except for resale

sparkyhopper 10-22-2010 09:20 PM

I definitely believe that. But I don't want to hold on to it :)

sparkyhopper 10-27-2010 11:14 AM

Guess who won the auction?

Stay tuned!

Ptufaro 10-27-2010 02:29 PM

I don't think it's worth much more than 110k (to flip in this market). Hope you make a good deal on it. I had a similar package and it sold for less along with a few others I've kept tabs on in the classifieds. Just a word of caution.

sparkyhopper 10-27-2010 03:35 PM

Thanks PT. I think I did okay.

Yeah, gonna price it around $120K, knowing that whomever wants it will likely want to deal a little. Never know though :)

It will be a fun boat to own.
Easy to use with little help from crew and respectively fast.

Hey guys. Just wanted to give yall a heads up so yall didn't think I was trying to pull a fast one. I didn't like my username (sparkyhopper) and couldn't find a way to change it.....

So I started a new account. Figured my old one was fresh enough that I didn't mind losing any post counts. Old username was a mashup of me (hopper) and a buddy's (sparks) and I just thought it sounded kind of lame when I was saying it in my head.

My boys started calling me the hawaiianhopper back in highschool on our soccer team. Think it started one day when we were hoping on/off benches. I got some hawaiian in me, and we were hopping, so they thought it was funny to mash them together.

I think "Hawaiianhopper" rolls off the tongue much better!
