Exclamation **ATTN: "BOAT FLORIDA" License Plate Needs OUR Support!

Hello OSO Friends!!

"A "Boat Florida" license plate is in the future for your car, truck or boat trailer, and your purchase of one of these specialty plates will mean the addition of hundreds of thousands of dollars being directed toward projects that support boaters nationwide!!..."

"...Funds from the purchase of Boat Florida license plates will be used for boating safety education and promotion; Boating Safety research and development; Recreational Boating access to waterways emphasizing youth and family access, including boat ramps, water oriented campgrounds and parks; and Boating Environmental safety technology R&D including manatee avoidance technology...."

"...plates estimated to be $17 more than your cost of a regular tag..."

Sounds good to me!!!

I believe 15000 signatures are required on the petition to initiate the process of making these plates available.

If interested, complete the survey in the following link:
Boat Florida Survey

Please pass this info along to anyone who may be interested!

Talking

BD,
The wife and I filled out two forms last year for the this!! Definitely, the thing to do, if you boat in Fl.! We will get 4 of the plates, if it passes.
Good post BD!

Did you guys boat this weekend?
I only launched the boat off the trailer and IDLED to the lift! We had a HUGE Manatee in the canal yesterday, when I got back!
Have a good day,
MD

Thanks for the replies everyone!
I think this would be a great way to inject more money into our boating communities. (Not to mention having a cool boating plate )

Dean,
I'm afraid not...No boating for us this weekend. I got roped into working Saturday and one day simply was not enough to squeeze everything in...too many chores and such!

==============

I have Wild Dolphin plates but will trade for boating-Count me in.

Hey MD.. We went to the marina Friday and saw 3 huge manatees playing next to a blow boat. It's owner was spraying them with a hose.

Default The Hose!

gdfatha,

Sorry to hear you saw that...That is not what people should be doing. Of course the manatees were hanging around...that's what they need to drink! Pheh, blowboaters...
