As one comes upon the end of a chapter, a page turn begins another. Good luck and best wishes to the new venture!

Name Correction: AMF Offshore Rigging not Miss Geico Offshore Rigging.

Changed in the story but it will take about 30 minutes to matriculate to the linnk.

dykstra 11-17-2010 11:39 AM

Best wishes for the future. It will be interesting if AMF Offshore Rigging has different power in the next few years.

Hey Matt - probably splitting hairs here but the title comes across as negative when the story really isnt. Just a new chapter in the Geico novel. May want to consider re-writing that while your in there.

Best of luck to all the guys, look forward to being a part of something like this some day.

Good luck to everyone involved!

After reading Scott's comments concerning the future:

Begovich said that Miss Geico will stick with turbine power for the 2011 season, as the team is expecting three other turbine-powered cats to compete in the class. However, if the class doesn’t materialize, a power change for the 2012 season is likely.

I was just curious what the latest news is concerning the Aqua Mania & JBS turbine powered Mystics? I've only seen scarce info about JBS, and NO info about Aqua Mania.

Did those teams decide to hang it up?

fantastixvoyage 11-17-2010 01:38 PM

Aquamania was in attendance in Key West so I'd say no they havent hung it up.

JBS, well I best not comment :angry-smiley-038:

I'd say they haven't hung it up either if that's the case....

Is Aqua Mania not planning to run turbines going forward?

What Scott was saying, sort of implied to me that there might not be anyone else for Miss Geico to race with in the turbine class after the 2011 season?

I only heard about JBS running one race this year, but nothing since. Regardless of how they get along with some of the others, it's nice for the fans & the class to have them out there.

fantastixvoyage 11-17-2010 01:59 PM

Tough to toss Aquamania in the mix as I believe it was health related issues that kept them out of competition this year. Fingerscrossed they can make a return next year.

Looked great in KW, a bit lonely tho :drink:
