Myco Trailer - what's it worth?

Just about to close a deal on a 33 foot boat that comes with a Myco Steel trailer. I am hoping to sell the trailer and get an aluminium one as I boat in salt water. Any idea what it's worth? The trailer has never been in salt water and is currently located in Green Bay, WI.

1997 Myco Model M32-33HTA
It's in really good shape.

Any feedback would be great.

I have photos. But never uploaded any to OSO before. How do you do that?

That's the trailer.

Nice boat, for what it is worth Myco told me my 2000 32 foot trailer from my fountain would be worth about 5K.

Then again they also wanted 12.5K for a new aluminium!

nkosi 11-24-2010 09:16 AM

Thanks Wildman.

I will probably list it here on OSO and see if I get any bites. Would need to get it sold up north before the boat is moved to Miami.

The problem I see is that its only a tandem axle trailer.
I would have possibly been interested, but it won't handle the weight of most 32-33 twin sterndrive boats.
I need at least a 10.5k capacity for my 32 AT.

The trailer weighs twice what an aluminum would. What are the axles rated at?

I'm sure they did... Now that it's a tandem.. 2000 to 2500.

The plus side is that there are people who HAVE to have a Myco.. Ask 3500 and hold true to your price. You might get it.

I just sold a brand new 33' Nextrail for 3,500, aluminum 10500, triple axle.... It went to the Virgin Islands. Too bad..

Great boat by the way. Be careful of the 250 XS. What year are they? 54k seems a bit high.... The boat is really worth high 30's in this market.

I am in the Virgin Islands also. Which island did you send it to? Are you a dealer for Nextrail?

Engines are 05s with 160 hours of fresh water use. I've heard mostly good things about the opts. What has been your experience?

That trailer is very specific to a go-fast OUTBOARD boat. Look at how far back the axles are placed.

You are going to have to find the right buyer.

Wildman_grafix 11-24-2010 01:02 PM

Is nextrail welded or bolted?

Scott Mander works on all of my HP stuff. I am doing a 39 cigarette open fish now and am looking for motors. Scott recommended against the 05 xs motors... you have to run 93 octane and they are high maint. compared to the regular optis.

I think I am going to go with 300 hpdis. I found 3 at a pretty good deal.

I looked at Nextrails site. Pricing is pretty competitive. Read a few comments on different forums also - mostly positive. Would be an option if I get the Myco sold.

It could hold your boat if the axels are strong enough. I have my 302 on a twin axel and they barely settle when the boat is on it. Even with one rim off the trailer can easily handle it. May be worth looking into... Pulling a twin axel is much better then a tripple IF it can handle the load.

I really like my twin axel better then a triple. I have to make tight turns when backing up, much easer then the triples.

Probably not seriously interested. I just put all new brakes, tires and led lights on mine.
Not to mention I'm right in the middle of a house refi and starting a 25k basement finishing project.

I'll bite though. What is the listed weight capacity of the trailer??
With the axels that far back, I think it might create to much tongue weight though.

Not sure what the weight capacity on the trailer is but I can try to find out. It needs to go so make me a serious offer if you are interested.
