4 blade props with p25 pitch rpm unknown

I was looking at a 96 Fountian 29' Fever w/Twin 502 MPI that was for sale and just wanted some information

Was it the boat that was just recently on ebay?

no, 25p props with 1.50 gears @5400rpm would need 0% prop slip.Impossible

There was a guy around here that had one when I had my P29, I could get 78.4 all day with a best of 79.5 and he could just eek by me over the run of over a mile and not pull me by much maybe .5-1.0 mph faster.

Not only is it not running 85 mph, it probably closer to 75 mph, if that. I would think the motors are hitting the rev limiter with those size props.

YES

I have one with twins and one with 575. They are with in 2 mph of each other and the single handles so much better.

The twin boat is 1 year newer but has the old bottom with the little step. I was thinking it was odd, but they cant put twins in the new bottom.

I was thinking of stepping up into a faster hull that handles good and pickup a few more MPH. It sounds like this might be the wrong way to go. I like V bottoms better due to the cabin space. My 26 does pretty good and the wife can drive it 80+. I am trying to stay under 30' For storage reasons.

What are your 575 putting down? What is your 29' single running
